A LONG, LONG WEEK-END
Tourists flocking into Venice. The town looks like a Disney-place. Sandwich picnics all over. People (who are touring Europe in 6 days) are giving this millenary republic town two hours of their lives! Of course, the usual tour: San Marco, Rialto, the tourists' shops...
And so many lovely hidden corners of the town are being left out.
So those people will never discover the special little streets, Venice cats (part of the Venetian tradition) and those gorgeous bakeries hidden in far-from-St-Mark's square places.
Thanks heavens for small favours. At least, Attila didn't pass everywhere!
