ABOUT TASTE
This morning (Monday May 23rd...and the world is still here, despite the prophets of catastrophes !!!) was also a promising -weatherwise- day and proved to be so.
Upon my return from my daily bicycle ride, I happened to see that my favourite ice-cream shop was open. I couldn't resist the temptation and bought a cone with lemon icecream. As I was licking it (mmh...how delicious and refreshing it was !), I noticed there was a man watching me with a smile and...it led me to think of a post on this subject. To report things exactly, I must admit I also blushed slightly as his smile was quite explicit although not disturbingly so.
Ehm...ehm... (clearing my voice and flexing my fingers as I put on my best didactic face).
Taste can be physical as in gustation or intellectual as in preference. We shall talk only of the first one in this post. (If you want to know more, there are TONS of literature and learned books on this subject).
Taste generally makes use of the inside of our lips and especially of our tongue that is endowed with more than 10.000 taste-buds. In the animal world, it's used to show affection or acknowledge partners and cubs and licking them is a sign of acceptance and care.
It's also a way to take care of oneself and indulge
For humans, it's not that much different although rather less elementary. It's a way to appreciate food, drinks...and persons.
It can be a powerfully sensual - and sexual - act to be performed in infinite ways: it can be delicate, teasing, forceful, avid, romantic, tender, long, brief, commanding, submissive...performed with the whole tongue or just the tip; on a limited area or along the whole surface of a body; to arouse or satisfy; to arouse and deny; to explore or re-live: variations on the theme are endless, their only limit being the fantasy of players.
