WEDDINGS...WHO WANTS TO GO THROUGH THAT ?

Well...now my cousin has gone through that ordeal and all the luck and happiness etc...
But it was a tough job !
Anyway, it made me think about brides, and I remembered a beautiful film (to me it was beautiful although not unanimously acclaimed) by François Truffaut with - among others - a superb Jeanne Moreau. French directors have a special talent for films noirs, many of which have subsequently inspired american remakes.
After the film was over, the title continued to come back to me and I thought it would be fun to make a post about brides. Nooooooooo...not the usual ones, of course !
One of these unusual brides is represented by my avatar in SecondLife (also to be found in my Flickr album)
It's amazing the variety of "unusual" and fascinating brides you can find if you have a little curiosity (and patience) Forget about the usual erotic sites. I put "unusual" between inverted commas as, quite often, what's unusual for one is quite commonplace for another.  It's a fascinating and sometimes funny journey.
To continue with the concept of brides in black (yes! they are not even as unusual as one could think)
some models inspired by the gothic style
The last two as seen in Vogue Magazine
But black can also be utterly romantic as in the following model by Vera Wang
or in this other style, delightfully naive
or ironic as this bride in latex

or else funny and naughty like AnnaMaria Jagodzinska seen in Vogue Nippon
and witty in her pose of "broken doll"
Mario Sorrenti thought instead of same gender weddings and came out with a highly sensual session
Amazing blending of the black & white theme
whereas there are also traditional brides, caught in "special" moments (wind can be very, very naughty !)
The best known among these photos is probably that of Catherine Deneuve (with David Bailey)
Some others are perhaps less spontaneous but no less...ehm...
Lovely lingerie and great legs !

Pity for the unmatching stockings, but I love the touch of the garter
A grand & pink affair !
And a moment of relax after a tough day
But we have obviously also more conventional brides, be they in western style or in their beautiful traditional attires
From Paris
Italy (RosaClara)
 New York (Elie Saab)
Pakistan
India
Myanmar
Japan
Morocco
Vietnam
China
Curaçao
People who think of hijab as a somewhat "punishing" attire will have to change their mind in seeing these Muslim brides by Jailan Atef
Exquisite, aren't they ?
A number of "girls" want anyway to have something to be absolutely out of the ordinary for their (first) wedding. After all, you can marry over and over but only once for the first time !
Romantic transparencies

Daddy's Girl (she's marrying him only for his charme, of course...never mind his bank account)
Showing the best part of herself ?
Saving time in view of her wedding night?
Of course, our little journey wouldn't be complete if we didn't talk about bridal lingerie. That's such an important part of the bride's attire !
White should be de rigueur, according to tradition
but as for gowns, colour is largely depending on the bride's mood, on fashion and on tradition.
It can be funny (with the prescribed touch of blue)
Yes...she's being a little naughty..but nothing compared to these other brides who are definitely very, very hungry !
Do you think they will invite the bridegroom ?
Look at her smile !
and to end our journey on a funny note
She's certainly thinking.... "gotcha" !
