WHERE GREEN AND BLUE MEET...
...there's a whole, unbelievably beautiful and dreamlike range of colour shades going from teal to seafoam, turquoise, aqua...
We could say these colors are suspended between sky and sea
found in oceans
We could say these colors are suspended between sky and sea
found in oceans
and mountain lakes
or deep coves and mysterious caves
Perfect for blondes
as well as for redheads
and brunettes
Sophisticated in the darker tones as in this model by Zuhair Murad
and utterly romantic in paler nuances as in this gown by Elie Saab
easier than green, less harsh than blue
In lingerie you can find disquieting dark teal tones for "femmes fatales"
or naive, soft transparencies for the "false (well.. I'll admit she can be real) ingenue"
By the way, I think I'll have to make a new post about lingerie "bottoms" !
There are a lot of confused ideas as to what is what... (strings, boyshorts, G-strings, V-strings, bikinis, thongs, briefs, culottes...etc.)
But, mind you, it will be a "Girl-Only" post, so men are kindly requested to abstain !
However, let's go on with our main subject to illustrate with this lovely (ehm...yes...she doesn't show how it
looks like when it's completely tied up but nobody's perfect, and I think you are not going to complain, right ?)
A hint of tender pastels in accessories
All nuances also represented in gems
first among all: turquoise
and its "sisters"
Usually considered as "minor" gems in most cases, stones of this range have been known since millenia
and, in more recent times, set in impressive jewels.
Crown made with turquoise stones and aquamarines on Napoleon's order for Marie-Louise of Austria and kept at the Smithsonian Institute.
Tiara made of aquamarine gems, created in 1924 and later modified into the above style. It belongs now to Princesses Torlonia who inherited it from Infanta Beatriz.

This spectrum of colours convey an idea of freshness, be they used in home decoration
for bedrooms
bathrooms or spas
lovely and soothing for livingrooms, even formal ones. And it takes just, sometimes, so little...a cushion, a curtain, a trinket here and there, to transform a room
One can also prepare unusual table sets and decorations. Turquoise and the other tints of this range can so harmoniously be combined ton sur ton or in complete contrast
It suggests ideas of springtime and yet so rare to be found in the kingdom of flowers where the few specimens are considered as rarities (except hydrangea...but it's turquoise thanks to the addition of iron minerals to the earth where it's planted)
and the same can be said for the animal world
A range of colors frequently found in fantasy and manga worlds
or in post-apocalyptic environments
and fathomless depths
it's the color chosen by the most famous virtual singer and media phenomenon, Hatsune Miku
It's also a symbol of open air and freedom time and a joyful change for the usually
sober-coloured outfits and sports items
A touch of delicacy and optimism in the cold days of our winters, warming us cheerfully
(Don't tell me this is not warming you !)

Light as a breeze
Symbolizing times to come and technology (here in BMW prototypes)
Selected as the colour of Twitter's logo
or Windows Vista
Ideally chosen for an oneiric metropolis
Is this a tiny miniature in a bowl or a gigantic town in an immense globe ?

Let's finish here this journey (that could, of course, be longer), with a drink
