PARIS !
Michel Legrand - Paris Violon
La rue de la Harpe
Et la Contrescarpe
À l'heure où le jour se fait vieux
S'offrent des musiques
À plier boutique,
Des musiques à fermer les yeux.
Les rues se changent en jardin,
Les marronniers en musiciens
Paris Verlaine, aux sanglots longs,
Paris ce soir se fait violon
Paris violon,
Paris violoncelle,
Paris garçon,
Paris jouvencelle
J'ai ta chanson
Au coeur qui chancelle,
Comme un ballon,
Un ballon sur une nacelle
Paris violon,
Paris violoncelle,
Sous les chansons
Que tu amoncelles
Nous balançons
Sur la balancelle
Qui donne son nom
Au bord de la Seine
La la la la
Paris violoncelle,
La la la la
Paris jouvencelle,
La la la la
Au coeur qui chancelle,
Sous les violons,
Les violons de tes violoncelles
Paris violon,
Paris violoncelle,
Paris néon,
Aux milles étincelles,
Paris chanson,
Au coin des ruelles,
L'accordéon
Ce soir te fait belle
La la la la...

TEST !
As I was having my fruit-based breakfast this morning, I thought of a test to check your power of observation.
(Hey...stop chuckling. This is a very, very serious test!)
Look carefully at the following picture.
If you see:
One peach: You have average power of observation
Two peaches: You have a sufficiently good power of observation.
Three peaches: Compliments ! Your power of observation is excellent (but you definitely need more sex!)
and you win
One peach !

GOOD MORNING AND A GOOD WEEK !
I'm sure you'll love these images
Beautiful Scotland
Hereafter is the link to the original scene from the film for which this music was written. It's one of my cult movies and the final scene is so poignantly perfect that, even after a number of times I watched it, it still makes me feel a lump in my throat.
The verse "O Captain, My Captain" quoted by the students is from Walt Whitman's poem.

THE MORNING AFTER...
She lingers some minutes longer in her bed, stretches catlike and smiles as memories of last night come back to her. Almost 1 pm already !
She can hear the shower running and quietly gets up and goes into the bathroom where her pet is indulging in a long, relaxing (relaxing ? really ?) shower.
He doesn't yet realise she's looking at him and she loves this feeling. Almost as much as she loves the thought
of that trail of foam running down his spine.
She bites her lower lip as an instant, deep desire to follow that trail, deeper down between his buttocks, almost overtakes her. Almost.
Time for that ... after lunch !

HYPOCRISY MUCH ?
I'm an avid reader (or looker, if you prefer) of original advertisements. They can be real works of art (and I'm not going to talk about Campbell 's Soup by Warhol). Ads can be funny, sensual, mysterious, evocative, enticing. And of course, sometimes they are just dull and bo-o-o-o-oring !
This one, as shown and very well described in the link, is utterly funny and, in my opinion, aesthetically remarkable.

The reason of my title ? Well, it should be quite evident. Established "Churches" look more into the form than the substance. The very basic revelation of all faiths has been twisted into something different though centuries and centuries of "human" filtering. I put the word "human" between commas as there's almost always very little human feelings in what happened in the name of religion and man-made dogmas.
And, in this instance, man-made doesn't mean made by humans but by man as gender as it seems that, after an illuminated period in far, far, remote times, only men seem to be entitled in pronouncing edicts in the name of whichever god they (supposedly) worship.

TOUCH...HOW TO DEFINE IT ?
While the other four senses (sight, hearing, smell, and taste) are located in specific parts of the body, the sense of touch is found all over.
This is because it originates in the bottom layer of one's skin called the dermis. The dermis is filled with many tiny nerve endings which give information about the things with which the body comes in contact.
They do this by carrying the information to the spinal cord, which sends messages to the brain where the feeling is registered.
*
It can be just a fingertip on a cheek

It can be just a fingertip on a cheek
or with oneself
the teasing of a morning stubble against over-sensitive nipples through the lace of a bra
(a grown beard and whiskers are not unwelcome either !)
the shiny polish of the riding crop to be used later ...
The smooth pleasure of silk on the skin
the latest rays of the day in a breathtaking sunset...
The sharp and delightful pain of a commanding heel
Mmmh...I suppose that you grasped the concept !
Of course, there can be an infinity of variations on the theme of "Touch" but I can't do all the work for you.
You have been gifted with imagination. Use it !
