RAMBLINGS-2

I met Sole some years back, one day in early Springtime.
It was still a chilly day and she was shivering.
But she smiled as she was rubbing her hands to warm them.
Despite my own strong personality, I was almost overcome by hers.
She was so joyful, almost palpitating with life in her search for purposeful goals.
She saw herself, by birth, as a most fortunate person, and therefore, according
to her mother's teachings, bound to give, help, love, assist in any way she could.
She had no religious belief. She thought  that we all are precious beings -
or, as she said, made of star stuff -  who do not need to have gods to be
 wonderful creatures.
She loved Carl Sagan and often quoted him. In Italy, she followed closely
Margherita_Hack and Piergiorgio Oddifreddi.
However, her rationalism didn't prevent her from being a passionate woman.
Passionate in all her battles: against experiments on animals and humans alike;
against treating persons and pets as commodities; against confining peoples in
limited territories after dispossessing them...
Passionate in her loves, her likes and her dislikes.
Sole was a ray of light in even the darkest times.
I loved her and there'll be no end to that love.
My Redhead
My Sole
